Different types of cancer
The Cancer Research Society (CRS) funds research on many different types of cancer. Some projects conduct studies specific to only one type of cancer, whereas other projects will study different aspects of the disease affecting numerous types of cancer. Furthermore, since metastasis is a deadly component of the evolution of most types of cancer, some CRS research projects focus specifically on this aspect. The following pie chart illustrates the breakdown of current CRS research projects within these three (3) general categories.
