A good way to make a sizable donation to the Cancer Research Society (CRS), rather than donating cash, is to donate eligible securities, such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds, drafts, futures contracts or any other exchange-traded security.

When you donate eligible securities directly to a charity, special measures are applied to eliminate the tax implications of declaring any capital gains that these securities may have accumulated.
