Characterizing cell-based models for non-Hodgkin's lymphoma

Team: Research center: BC Cancer Agency, Vancouver
Province: British Columbia

New technologies have proven capable of identifying errors, or mutations, in genes that have advanced our understanding of cancer. One challenge now faced is identifying those mutations that contribute to cancer progression. Using emerging sequencing technologies we will identify mutations affecting genes in commonly studied lymphoma cells. Such well-characterized cell lines will be vital for understanding the functional consequences of cancer-causing mutations and for testing therapeutic agents that target them.
