Juvenile myelomonocytic leukaemia (JMML) is a highly aggressive cancer that affects young children.  There is no cure or effective treatment for JMML, which has an average survival rate of less than 20% past three years of diagnosis.  In an effort to find effective treatment options for children with JMML, we uncovered new molecular pathways likely involved in the development of JMML. This research proposal aims to provide insightful mechanistic understanding of why and how JMML develops with the supposition that learned lessons would aid in the development of new and effective therapeutic options for children with JMML.
