Mission

Founded in 1945, the Cancer Research Society (CRS) is a national not-for-profit organization whose sole mission is to fund cancer research exclusively and to offer seed money to the most promising original ideas, projects and researchers across Canada.

For 65 years, the CRS has worked tirelessly toward one goal and one hope: defeating cancer.

Respect and empathy

The CRS strives to show respect and empathy for everyone who is directly or indirectly affected by this terrible disease. Their courage and determination are what drives the CRS to pursue its mission. The CRS hopes that its efforts will help to improve the quality of life for all Canadians.

Passion

The CRS's singular passion is to do everything possible to help Canadian researchers find ways to cure cancer. The CRS carries out its work with conviction, discipline and determination to ensure that new discoveries make a difference.

In all of its sectors of activity, the CRS is driven by teamwork, commitment and cooperation. It is grateful for the support and involvement of its donors and partners - extremely valuable players - in the fight against cancer.
