Mr. Benoit Gagnon, a generous donor of the Cancer Research Society, passed away in 2015, only a few months after he was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia, T-cell prolymphocytic leukemia (LPL-T) It is very aggressive and difficult to treat because there is no specific treatment for this type of cancer. Prior to his death, Mr. Gagnon expressed the wish to contribute to the research to improve the treatments against this leukemia. His wife Raymonde, along with his children Janique, Marjorie and François, acceded to his request by establishing, with the Cancer Research Society, the Benoit Gagnon Research Fund to support research on prolymphocytic T cell leukemia.
This fund will be used to fund research projects in Canada that will develop new therapeutic approaches and improved treatments for LPL-T.
Parents and friends of the family are invited to contribute generously to the Benoit Gagnon Research Fund in order to honor Benoit's desire and to advance research on the treatments of this fulminant leukemia.
